Models & pricing
Which version runs your fit, what is free, and what a fit costs.
Models
Every fit runs on one released model version. Choose it with the optional model field; the version that ran is echoed in the response. GET / lists the versions on offer — on 6 October 2026 they were:
| Version | Use it when |
|---|---|
default | The recommended version, used when you omit model. Follow it in production unless you need results that never move. |
rc012.2 | A released version you can pin for reproducible results. |
rc012.3 | A released version you can pin for reproducible results. |
rc015 | A released version you can pin for reproducible results. |

Pay as you go
You buy tokens — 1 token = US$1 — and fits spend them. Registration is free, there is no subscription and nothing renews. Buy any whole-dollar amount from $15 to $10,000 in the console; tokens you buy never expire.
Register free in the console and choose the pay-as-you-go API: your key is ready at once, and you buy tokens when you need them.
| Prepaid tokens | The rule |
|---|---|
| Purchase | Any whole-dollar amount from $15 to $10,000 |
| Expiry | None: tokens you buy never expire |
| Refunds | Tokens are not refundable |
| At zero | Calls that need tokens get HTTP 429; nothing is queued or charged. Validation and input tests keep working |
| Spending limit | Your balance. There is no auto-reload, so nothing is charged that you did not top up |
What is free
| Call | Cost |
|---|---|
GET /, GET /health | Free, no key |
POST /validate | Free, no key or account |
Input tests: POST /fit with "mock": true | Free on every key, even with an empty wallet |
GET /account/balance, /account/ledger | Free |
What a fit costs
A first fit on new data is typically 20–30 tokens: grounding your economics plus the model's compute. Later fits with the same description and schema skip the compile and cost mostly compute.
| What | When | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Validate a request | POST /validate, no key or account | Free |
| Input test | "mock": true — every input check, placeholder result | Free |
| Grounding | your business description or data schema is new | typically 17–20 tokens |
| Grounding, repeated | identical description and schema: the compiled code is reused | replay metered as compute |
| Model fit | compute time: 0.25 tokens per CPU core-hour, 5–10 per GPU-hour, at least 0.25 per calculation | typically 3–10 tokens |
| A failure on our side | grounding or the fit fails for a reason that is ours | Not charged |
1 token = US$1. Typical figures are from recent fits (early October 2026); yours follow the size of your history and menus. Every charge is itemized: /fit reports what it charged and each ledger entry spells out its arithmetic. A grounding stopped by a problem in your input is charged for the work done, and its diagnosis says what to change. Prices exclude taxes; tokens are not refundable.
Estimate before you submit
/validate returns an estimate block from the row counts of your request. It is a guide, not a quote: the charge is the compute actually metered when the fit settles, plus grounding when it runs.
See what you spent
Each /fit response carries a billing block with what it charged. GET /account/balance returns your balance; GET /account/ledger lists every movement — top-ups, fits, grounding, transfers — with the arithmetic in each entry. The console shows the same ledger.
